CHRISTIAN WALK
(Gen. 5:4) "And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him."
WALK BY FAITH.
(Rom. 4:12) "…following the steps of the faith of our father Abraham…"
(2Co. 5:7) "For we walk by faith, not by sight."
WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE.
(Rom. 6:4) "…As Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in the newness of life."
WALK IN THE SPIRIT.
(Gal. 5:16, Gal. 5:25) "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh…if we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit."
WALK IN GOOD WORKS.
(Eph. 2:10) "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…we should walk in them."
WALK WORTHY OF THE LORD.
(Eph. 4:1) "I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called."
(Col. 1:10) "So that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God."
WALK IN LOVE.
(Eph. 5:1-2) "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you…"
(Joh 15:12) "This is my commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you."
WALK IN THE LIGHT.
(Eph. 5:8) "For you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord, walk as children of light."
(1Jo 1:7) "If we walk in the light, as He himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin."
WALK IN GRACE.
(Col. 2:6-7) "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude."
PRINCIPLE: There are eight figures of the Christian walk here. Eight is the Biblical number of completeness and illustrates here the way to fulfillment in the abundant life of Christ.
