Lesson 2: God’s Sovereign Grace and Israel’s Election (Romans 9)

Lesson 2: God’s Sovereign Grace and Israel’s Election (Romans 9)

Election functions as a corporate selection that excludes some for the purpose of including others, while predestination aims to conform believers to Christ’s image rather than guarantee individual salvation (Romans 9, Romans 11, Ephesians 1:4). God’s instantaneous, eternal decrees energize all events for good for those called, and genuine human free will interacts with divine purpose throughout the covenant history.
