The more we claim promises, the more we lay up treasures in heaven. Blessing comes to us through avenues we least expect "seek first the Kingdom, and these things will be added to you".

Rewards in Revelation letters to the churches:

1. Over-comers get to eat from the tree of life (Rev 2:7). Abundant life is an analogy in heaven for over-comers (Joh 10:10).



2. Over-comers are not hurt by Second Death — no loss at the Bema seat (Rev 2:11).



3. Over-comers get a new name — intimacy with Jesus Christ (Rev 2:17).



4. Over-comers who never give up are given authority — share the reign of Jesus Christ and are given a decoration "morning start" (Rev 2:26).



5. Over-comers are clothed in light and given a reputation of eternal renown "I will confess his name before the Father" (Rev 3:5, 1Jo 2:15-17).



6. Over-comers have a pillar with their story written on it (Rev 3:5).



7. Over-comers will sit in the throne with Jesus Christ (Rev 3:21).

Over-comers have character that don't quit. Faith is the key (Heb 11:1, Heb 11:6). "He is the rewarded of those that diligently seek Him". Moses made five decisions that changed history (Heb 11:24-28). See notes on Moses' decisions . Paths available to believers are:

1. The upward path of growth and obedience—leading to reward, (2Pe 1:5-11).



2. The downward path of carnality and reversion—bringing cursing, (Eph 4:17-19).



3. The recovery path of repentance—the road less taken, (Jam 4:5-10).

Heirs of the Kingdom' have privilege responsibility and accountability (Mar 13:33?37). 'Heirs' is a term that deals with discipleship not justification or salvation. As we shall see every child of God is an heir. The questions before us are: How much will I inherit and will it really matter that much? Every member of the Royal Family has a share in the Royal Inheritance. Again the question of our study is ?how much?? Peter stresses in three words that our inheritance cannot?in any way?be defiled or diminished by our failure or conduct in this life. Paul speaks as sons ?being led? by the Spirit as ?adult sons? (huioi) and shows a distinction between heirs and ?joint heirs with Christ.? One is unconditional based on sonship; the other is conditional based on conduct.
