The Gospel According to David

 Rocky Mountain Bible Conference

May 27–29, 2016

In Psalm 32 David declares, “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity.” Paul uses this quote in Rom 4:7–8 to support three great truths of the Gospel:
(1) Justification is by faith in Christ alone;
(2) God imputes His righteousness to those who believe the Gospel; and
(3) This righteous standing before God is apart from works of any kind.

Five Factors Redeeming Time

Eph 5:16-21 Time is precious. You can make money but not time. You cannot redeem time until you know it's value. We cannot redeem time until you know what you're going to do with it. You need to know the reason for redeeming time (Eph 5:1-2) — imitating Christ. It takes attention, alertness to redeem the time (Eph 5:14). You have to be cautious to redeem the time (Eph 5:15a). You need wisdom to redeem the time (Eph 5:15b) — wisdom is knowing the things that count — "understanding what the will of the Lord is". You can "kill time" (Eph 5:14). Wisdom is coming to God through Jesus Christ, regarding His Word and living in accordance to it.
