The Gospel in Isaiah 53 - 4: From Adam's Death to Christ's Life (Romans 8)

Christ bears our griefs and sorrows as a substitutionary sacrifice, paying the penalty for sin and securing spiritual restoration, not guaranteed physical health. The cross fulfills eight divine purposes—punitive, substitutionary, redemptive, propitiatory, reconciling, unlimited, efficacious, and revelatory—while Jesus remains silent before false accusations, fulfills prophecy of being cut off, and demonstrates that a simple confession, as the repentant thief shows, secures salvation.
