The Gospel in Isaiah 53 - 3: Christ's Humiliation and Exaltation (Isaiah 53)

The Messiah fulfills the humble, despised tender plant of Isaiah 53:1-3, willingly becoming a servant and slave to the point of death, and through that obedient suffering is exalted above every name so that every knee bows. He is the promised branch of Jesse, uniting the prophetic vision of Isaiah 11:1 with the Nazareth-Netzer fulfillment and the Christlike humility described in Philippians 2:5-9.
