Biblical Chivalry #8

Biblical Chivalry #8

The divine design for manhood. The goal is the LORD Jesus Christ. Foundations of character: faithfulness, meekness, self control. Caleb is an example of meekness. Man was created in GOD’s image to reflect his glory. Every man is to strive to be a warrior like Christ as a: Prophet - with a message in word and deed; Priest - deal with men’s souls as student of the BOOK and life; and Majesty - a reflection of the KING. 2Sa 1:17 relationships are vertical and horizontal. All relationships doomed to failure without the vertical. Relationships changes the parties involved. Gen 49:24 Jacob blesses Joseph bow; the bow was not a physical weapon but his soul. Job 29:20 the bow is spiritual maturity. Gen 48:22, Psa 44:3-6 the sword is the word of GOD, the bow is spiritual maturity. Psa 127:1-5 the concept of rest and our descendants ‘hitting the mark.’ 2nd Samuel chapters 9-16 is the story of Mephibosheth and how Jonathan’s arrow hit the mark. Meekness: Mat 11:28-29, Psa 37:11, Mat 5:5.

Men are to have a battle a romance and victory. Chivalry defined 'a knight' gentlemen in the highest sense of the word. Chivalry is a code of conduct containing courage honor and readiness. Our role from GOD is to be a man with courage endurance and love!
