Lesson 5: Salvation and Gospel (Romans 10)

Lesson 5: Salvation and Gospel (Romans 10)

Salvation rests on faith in Christ, offered to every Jew and Gentile who calls on the Lord, and is ignited by hearing God's proclaimed Word. God’s election selects individuals for service and purpose, not deterministic destiny, so human responsibility remains; Israel’s long-suffering aims at repentance, and the Gentile graft into Israel’s olive tree anticipates the whole nation’s restoration through faith.
