“Under the Shadow of the Almighty” is a study that Gene enhanced from the 2014 Canberra Bible Conference, which was called, “In the Secret Place of the Most High.”
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psa 91:1
In this study, we will look at each article in the Tabernacle from three aspects:
♦ The spiritual need of mankind
♦ The promised provision of God
♦ The fulfillment in Jesus Christ
Our prayer is that God will bless this study so that many will learn to live daily “under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Lessons from the Tabernacle on Abiding in Christ – Canberra 2014

Malachi Session 4

Malachi Session 4

Hos 11:1 "Out of Egypt I have called my son". One passage of scripture can refer to two things His Son and His nation. Doubt (Mal 1:2) leads to despising Mal 1:6) then defiling (Mal 1:7). Israel's system of worship was defiled in Malichi's time. Each of us is called to be a priest (1Pe 2:5-9). The role of a priest is to be a bridge builder — to present God to men (1Pe 3:15). The best way to prepare ourselves to be a witness is to let Christ have his rightful place in our life.

"A son honors his father, And a servant his master. If then I am the Father, Where is My honor? And if I am a Master, Where is My reverence? Says the Lord of hosts To you priests who despise My name. Yet you say, 'In what way have we despised Your name?' "You offer defiled food on My altar. But say, 'In what way have we defiled You?' By saying, 'The table of the Lord is contemptible.' And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, Is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, Is it not evil? Offer it then to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you favorably?" Says the Lord of hosts." (Mal 1:6-8)

Repentance (Rev 2:1-6) really means remember, repent, return.

  1. Genuine repentance begins with Confession (Mal 1:9, 1Jo 1:9).

  2. Confession leads to Correction. We are not "in fellowship", by "having fellowship" (Mal 2:9, 1Jo 1:7, 2Ti 2:21).

  3. Correction leads to Conformity (Mal 2:10, Rom 12:1-2).

  4. We begin the work of Conversion (Mal 2:10). We become living examples of the Christ we serve (Luk 19:10, Mal 2:7-8)

  5. Conversion leads to Condemnation (Mal 2:10, 2Co 2:15-16).

Repentance is doing simple things (Luk 3:3-15). Our attitude must match the life God gave us, being beneficial to others around us.
