“Under the Shadow of the Almighty” is a study that Gene enhanced from the 2014 Canberra Bible Conference, which was called, “In the Secret Place of the Most High.”
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psa 91:1
In this study, we will look at each article in the Tabernacle from three aspects:
♦ The spiritual need of mankind
♦ The promised provision of God
♦ The fulfillment in Jesus Christ
Our prayer is that God will bless this study so that many will learn to live daily “under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Lessons from the Tabernacle on Abiding in Christ – Canberra 2014

Psalm 18 - The Demand for a Deliverer

Psalm 18 - The Demand for a Deliverer

We have positional holiness. David uses "righteousness" (Psa 18:24) as a picture of fellowship (Psa 86:2). David's righteousness has 3 witnesses (1Sa 26:23, 1Ki 14:8, 1Ki 11:4). God looks at our lives and desire of the heart - regardless of failure. We all fail but how we recover is paramount (Ecc 7:20, Psa 32:6). God gives strength for the way He wants us to go -- obedience (Psa 18:31-32). God gives stability (Psa 18:33-34) and increased impact (Psa 18:35-36). Only the eye of faith can see these things. David prays for victory (Psa 18:37-42). God takes the smallest instrument in nearest work in simplest way for the greatest victory (1Sa 17:47). God uses the weak and despised for His glory (Psa 18:43-45, Psa 113:7, Luk 1:53, Luk 3:5, 1Pe 5:5). David prays to his Deliverer (Psa 18:46-50). The Lord always is there to deliver (Heb 7:25). "Jesus" in New Testament is the name for "Deliverance" in the "Old Testament".
