The life of faith is a spiritual journey beginning at the moment of new birth (regeneration) through personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, and continuing onward and upward from spiritual infancy—through the stages of spiritual growth— into maturity and beyond. I refer to it as the journey “from the cross to the crown.”

The little book of Titus, one of Paul’s “pastoral epistles,” provides a short-course on the life of faith. As we explore the great and timeless truth contained in this epistle, we will refer again and again to the “life of faith” and the journey “from the cross to the crown,” and to the many promises and provisions supplied by God in His matchless grace for those who choose to live in the light of the cross.
This was the subject of the Spring 2011 Conference in Canberra, Australia.

Daniel #4

Daniel #4

Mystery Babylon - the domination of the earth - combines two things: head of gold and worship of it - analogous to the beast and the harlot of Revelation. Power of the tongue is like a horse, a ship, fire (Jam 3:1-11). Your sin nature ignites your tongue, which ignites people and defiles others (Jam 3:6, Pro 16:27-28). Daniel and his friends are accused (Dan 3:13-15). The king didn't care about inner conviction, but wanted outer compliance (Rom 12:2). Daniel makes obedience to God the issue and are not afraid (Dan 3:16-18). Faith makes the invisible more real than the visible (Phi 4:6-7, Col 3:15-16, Heb 2:14-15). Soul has 5 parts: self-consciousness, mentality, volition, conscience, and emotion. The word of God builds up and guards the soul - they applied God's promises knowing God would deliver them from Nebuchadnezzar (Dan 3:17-18, Isa 43:2-3). Daniel and friends knew God and His essence: (1) God is Sovereign (Dan 4:35). (2) God is absolute Righteousness (Psa 145:17). (3) God is absolute Justice (Deu 32:4). (4) God is Love (Eph 2:4). (5) God is Eternal Life (1Ti 1:17) (6) God is Omniscience (1Jo 3:20).(7) God is Omnipresent. (Jer 23:24). (8) God is Omnipotent. (Rev 19:6). (9) God is Immutable (Heb 13:8). (10) God is Veracity (Psa 33:4). Daniel had faith rest (Heb 4:1-12, Mat 10:24-31, Heb 13:5-6)
