The 2012 Northern Virginia Conference was on The Mountaintops of Scripture, giving a dispensational overview of the Bible.
The goals of this study are three-fold: first, to help the Bible student “think through” the Bible story along the lines of God’s promises and their fulfillment in the Person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ. The second objective is for us to gain a sense of how to “rightly divide” the Word of God, according to its own inherent pattern. In so doing, we are able to see its unity and minimize supposed contradictions. Finally, this overall grasp of Scripture will enable us to “tell the story” to others, keeping the focus where it belongs—on Jesus Christ the Savior.

Hosea Session 2

Hosea Session 2

Hosea 1:4-9 Only God can keep Love and Justice in perfect balance. The love of Christ compels us to live for Him (2Co 5:14-15). Only Christ in us can love to the degree required of us. Gomer bore Jezreel to Hosea but the next two children are result of harlotry. The Justice of God has the power to bless or curse. If we reap what God has sown then we get the blessings of the work of Christ. Otherwise we reap what we've sown (Gal 6:7, Rom 2:6, Due 11:26). Its impossible to claim God's Mercy if we reject His Word (Hosea 4:1-6). When the people of God identify the enemies of God they share the Judgement of God. Israel has a conditional covenant (Deut 8:9, Duet 30:15-20) Their blessing and security in the land depended upon their obedience to God. Go'd indictment of Israel (Hos 4:1-6; Hos 7:11-13; Hos 11:1-5). Jesus inditment (Joh 5:43). The greater fufillment of Jezreel (Mat 23:32-39).

From Series: "The Transforming Power of Forgiveness -- PA Conference 2012"

This conference was given at the Abundant Life Church in Uniontown PA in 2012. The theme of Hosea is the loyal love of God for idolatrous Israel and the power of His redemption and forgiveness to transform her into His beloved bride.
