1Jo 2:7-29. Old commandment-love your neighbor as yourself. Joh 13:34. New commandment-love one another as I have loved you. Overcoming enemies and all the "privileges of the overcomer." To have a powerful spiritual life, we must combine the Holy Spirit (internal) with the Word of God (external). The Father works through the Son, the Son works through the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit works through the Word, and the Word works through the believer.

This series details John's description of our being 'in Him' - abiding in Christ. This contrasts Paul's use of the phrase expressing positional truth.
