These lessons were presented May 23–24, 2014 at the Rocky Mountain Bible Conference in Denver, Colorado. At this conference, Gene teaches on passages from the book of Hebrews including the following subjects:
► Hope as an “anchor of the soul”
► Eternal security
► “Pressing on to maturity”
► Baptism
► Christ as the perfect sacrifice
► Process of “falling away” (to include the sin unto death)
► Priesthood, ambassadorship, and ministry of the individual believer
The key verse for the conference is Heb 6:18–20:
“That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation,
we who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: which hope we have as an anchor of the soul,
both sure and steadfast, and which enters within the veil; where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, even Jesus,
having become a High Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”

Wisdom is the key to endurance. We have a standing of peace with God and access in His presence (Rom 5:1-2, Eph 1:3-6, Heb 4:16). Enduring trials produces character (Rom 5:3-4). We need to get rid of hindrances to running our race (Heb 12:1-2). Hebrew words for faith illustrate endurance: (1) Amen - pictures a weak man leaning on a staff (Job 13:15); (2) Batach - pictures casting down a wrestling opponent (1Pe 5:7, Psa 55:22)
Everyone has need of endurance (Jam 5:11). This series was taught at Abundant Life Church in Uniontown PA in October 2010. Gene presented the following: (1) The 'call' to endure; (2) Endurance Defined; (3) The Source and Supply; (4) The School of Endurance; (5) The Blessed Fruit of Endurance; (6) The Reward of Endurance; (7) Timeless Testimony of Endurance.
