Daniel #18

Daniel #18

Daniel reviews gentile history; Revelation fills in the church age. The empire of Greece after Alexander, split four ways (Dan 8:8): Turkey, Greece, Syria, Eqypt. The little horn -- antichrist -- comes out of one of the 4 areas (Dan 8:5, Dan 8:9). Prophecy has a near and far fulfillment. Antiochus Epiphanies is a near fulfillment of the little horn. Satan is behind the antichrist (Rev 12:3-6). The antichrist makes himself in the place of Christ (Dan 8:11, Jos 5:14-15). The period of time that the sanctuary is "trodden under foot" is 3.5 years or 2300 days (Dan 8:12-14). Gabriel explains (Dan 8:15-19, Dan 9:21, Dan 10:13, Luk 1:26). The rapture happens at the "last trumpet" (1Co 15:52); the first trumpet gathers Israel (Num 10:1-2). Antichrist has Satan behind him (Dan 8:23-24, Dan 11:31-34) and opposes Jesus Christ the "Prince of Princes" (Dan 8:25). Daniel remained faithful to authority place over him (Dan 8:27).
