Life of Moses #2

Moses is a testimony to us (Deu 18:15, Heb 3:5, Num 12:7). The burning bush incident (Exo 3:1-6); God's fire only needs a vessel, not fuel. Moses had to decide to identify children of Israel, to effect the deliverance of Israel (Exo 2:12), and to leave Israel after being rejected (Exo 2:15-20). Five things building life: (1) attitude (humble or arrogant) - which limits your altitude and determines (2) values, (spiritual or carnal) then (3) decisions (wise or foolish) and (4) actions (right or wrong), then (5) effects (blessing or cursing). Moses character was instilled by his parents. Five elements or stages of Moses spiritual life (1) instruction - value seen by parents (Heb 11:23); (2) protection given - Moses was hidden; (3) truth is taught and modeled; (4) decision phase - Moses declared what he rejected (Heb 11:24-26), and what he valued "esteemed the reproach of Christ"; decisions have repercussion (1Jo 2:11, 2Pe 1:9); Moses action: he left because Israel would not have him as a ruler (Act 7:35, Heb 11:27-28), and endured in obedience - "he kept the passover". Leaders exhibit action while manager watch others; they are out front while managers are behind. Leadrers give power away. (5) Impact: Moses left a heritage (Heb 11:29, Psa 90:1-17, Psa 91:1-16) as "the man of God". Moses had vitial fellowship with God (Psa 91:1-2, Psa 91:9, Heb 6:19); Moses numbered his days - to live days that count (Psa 90:12, Lam 3:23-24). Moses exemplifies biblical instruction, wise decisions and resolute action.
