Dear Friends,

We want to share a couple recent videos with you to keep you updated on some of the mission work going on.  You will see in the first video that progress is being made at the Theological School in Nagaland where donors have made it possible to build a much needed library to house the thousands of books the school possesses.  There is beautiful teamwork being displayed in this video!

On our last trip to the school we asked them what their greatest need was and the answer was a new library and admin office building.  By God’s grace the needed funds were made available.  It’s encouraging to see in the video that the staff, students and many local villagers have stepped in to help with the construction.  When this project is completed it will provide a beautiful place for the students to study as well as much needed office space for the staff.

In the 20 years or so that we have been working there we have watched the school develop from thatch-work student quarters with a crude smoke-filled kitchen area into nice classrooms, student quarters and new kitchen/ dining area.  Many contributors and prayer partners have made these blessed advances over the years possible.  We ask you to continue to pray with us as this school is now graduating and sending many Biblically skilled evangelists and teachers into remote and perilous areas throughout Asia.  We recently received a request from a graduate student asking us to visit his work in a remote and dangerous area.  Please pray for God’s guidance concerning this request.

We hope you enjoy the video of the Christmas celebrations of the orphans at Bethel Children’s Home.  They are performing on the rooftop of the orphanage for all of the surrounding city to see!

Many dedicated ladies around the US have sewn and sent dresses for these little girls and its a joy to see how delighted they are to show off their colorful dresses for us whenever we arrive for a visit.

This Children’s Home has been recognized as providing a high standard of care throughout Nagaland.  The stories of some of these little ones are absolutely heart wrenching.  To see them come in at first sad, tender and afraid and then to see them transformed by the power of God’s love and the truths of His Word is a living miracle before our eyes.  Please continue to pray for Throngji, Ayungla and their team of servants ministering to these children.

Work is beginning on the refurbishment of classrooms in PNG under the direction of Pastor Roger Thiele from Curlew Community Church in Washington.  We continue to support this work financially and ask you to pray for the ongoing training of the Christian workers in and surrounding Numba Village.  Doug and Kristy Wray from Kalispell Montana will be visiting the school this spring.  Pray for their safe travel and effective ministry.  Nan and I are also praying for the opportunity and timing to return and visit the students.

We are looking forward to a visit from Julio and Betty from Peru.  We have worked with them for many years and this is their first opportunity to visit the US and share their work with churches here.  They will be with us and then travel to Montana to share in Doug and Kristy’s church and then on to Atlanta.  Please pray for their safe travels and for a refreshing visit in our country.

Please pray for us as we face this new year.  We have numerous invitations from various places in the world asking us to come and minister.  But we are facing some complications in fulfilling those requests.  Your prayers are much appreciated!

Pressing on!
Gene and Nan
