Micah – Seven Signposts of the End Times – 2012 – Canberra, AUS
Micah gives the time of writing as “in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah,” (Mic 1:1). This places his ministry from about 740 to 710 B.C. This book of his prophecies was likely compiled around 700 B.C. He was a contemporary of the prophet Isaiah. His name is a shortened form of “Micaiah” (cf. 1Ki 22:8–28, another prophet), meaning “Who is like Jehovah.”

Eph 3:1-13, Col 1:26-27 - Dispensation of the mystery explains the uniqueness of Paul's teaching. Heb 3:1-6 compares Moses, steward over his "house" to Jesus in the new covenant. 3 distinctive: 1) personal indwelling of the Holy Spirit, 2) divine enabling, and 3) forgiveness of sin (Heb 10:17). Paul was the steward of the mystery (Eph 3:7).
More than any book Ephesians reveals the blessings from God based on our relationship with Jesus Christ by grace through faith. Eph 1:3 is the a key verse. Other key verses by chapter include Eph 2:8 Eph 3:19 Eph 4:1 Eph 5:18 and Eph 6:10-11.
