posterKansas Bible Conference

August 21–23, 2015

“For I know the thoughts [plans] that I think toward you,
says the LORD, thoughts [plans] of peace and not of evil,
to give you a future and a hope.” Jer 29:11
The purpose of this conference was to provide information about what we will encounter in the days ahead.
Gene Cunningham participated in a Bible Conference, along with other well-qualified teachers, to discuss principles from the Book of Jeremiah—specifically regarding the promise of Jer 29:11.

Colossians Lesson 1

Colossians Lesson 1

The first two verses of the Book of Colossians (Col 1:1-2) outline the doctrine of the Grace of God. Col 1:3-8 reveals seven things about God's character revealed in His Grace (Col 1:4; 1Co 12:4-7; 1Pe 1:4-5)

Scripture References: 1 Peter 1:4-5, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, Colossians 1:4, Colossians 1:3-8, Colossians 1:1-2

From Series: "Colossians - 2006"

Paul never met the Colossians but wrote to them from a Roman prison around 62 AD to counter misconceptions of his day. It magnifies the character of Jesus Christ more than any other book in the New Testament, and counters misconceptions of our day as well. The key verse may well be Col 1:18 "...that in all things, He might have preeminence."
