"Heirs of the Kingdom" have privilege, responsibility, and accountability (Mar 13:33–37). "Heirs" is a term that deals with discipleship, not justification/salvation. As we shall see, every child of God is an heir. The question before us is this: How much will I inherit, and will it really matter that much? Proper application of the emblems of communion (Joh 15:1-12, Joh 6:35). "Abide" = fellowship. "Bear much fruit" = proving to be disciples. Result is inner joy and love toward others -- the work. The woman at the well conversation instructs us on worship (Joh 4:5-42). The woman's idea of worship was a place, traditional, superiority (Joh 4:20). Denominations represent division; Corinth is the first group written about. Jesus corrects the woman (Joh 4:21-24). Worship must include the filling of the Spirit.Everything that we do can be an act of worship if we are obedient to the Word and filled with the Spirit. Subordinating ourselves to God's plan is "good and acceptable" (Rom 12:2).
