Ezekiel #24
If you violate one command in the Law you are guilty of all (Gal 3:10-17, Eze 20:11). The promise through Abraham was Grace. 430 years later came the Law, added to keep restraint on evil. The promise of life by faith in the coming savior is taught through the feasts, called Sabbaths. All the feasts were signs of salvation. Passover: sacrifice of the Lamb. Unleavened bread: fellowship with God. First Fruits: anticipating harvest of people who trust in Christ. Pentecost: bringing in of the harvest. Yet to be fulfilled: Trumpets: regathering Israel and a picture of the rapture. God's works were finished before the foundation of the earth (Heb 4:3-7). God's plan is perfect (Rom 8:29). The nations around Israel will also be judged; as God deals with Israel, he'll deal with other nations. Reason: you cannot reject Jesus Christ and survive. It was too late to pray (Eze 20:3, Eze 20:31). God judged apostasy in Egypt, the desert, and the land (Eze 20:5-32, Jud 2:1-3, Heb 6:13-18). Galatians started living by the Law because they became their own idols -- trusting in their own strength (Gal 5:1-26, Col 2:6). Because of bondage, the benefit of Christ is gone. Falling from Grace means not standing firm in freedom. The furthest you can get from God is self-righteousness.
