“Cry … ‘Abba, Father'”

Learning to Live in the Spirit of Adoption
“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.'”
Romans 8:15
This study of spiritual adoption will hold many surprises for us. Not only is God the Father treated slightly in most works on theology, but the concept of sonship by spiritual adoption is scarcely understood.
Because of the biblical meaning of the term “adoption,” our study is forced to take a practical approach to the relationship of the believer to the heavenly Father. This approach is demanded by each of the passages in which the phrase “Abba, Father” is found.

Incense on the Altar

Gene recently taught a class at our local church called 'Incense on the Altar' based on the words of Psalm 92 and Revelation 5:8. We would like to share this class with you to encourage your heart this Thanksgiving week. Even in the midst of this crazy and ever changing world we have so many absolutes from God's Word to fill our hearts with gratefulness. May your prayers of gratitude to our Lord be as "Incense upon the Altar" bringing praise and glory to His Name.
