This study on Biblical Chivalry was presented at the April 2010 BTBM Conference held in Phoenix, Arizona. Gene teaches how we need—in these dark and perilous days—to awaken from our spiritual slumber, to break free of the shackles of earthly pursuits and possessions, and answer the timeless call into the fellowship of knights-in-training!

Ephesians #3

Ephesians #3

In Psa 103:1-14 David writes with the same theme that Paul amplifies in Eph 1:3. We have even greater cause to thank God. Parallels or expands Colossians Col 1:18-20. God the Father is "blessed" and worthy of our blessings -- our thanksgiving. Blessings to us are a gracious outpouring of the Trinity -- Father is author (Eph 1:3-6); Son is Executor (Eph 1:7-12); Spirit is Agent (Eph 1:13-14). We need no more blessing (Eph 1:3, Isa 30:18). Plan of God includes "all" or "every" spiritual blessing; we have equal standing, opportunity, and assets. There is no "second blessing". Our blessings are secure in the "heavenlies". 2Co 4:4, Mat 6:20 and Eph 2:2 says Satan cannot touch them. Mat 5:1-48 resets our misconception of the blessings. All blessing starts and ends with God. He is the source and recipient (Eph 2:5-7). He "blessed us" before human history began (Aorist tense) (Eph 1:4).
