IN THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE KING

A Study in 2nd and 3rd John
In the epistles of John we see a common theme of a fellowship shared by believers and the Lord. This fellowship is forged in conflict, against dark and sinister forces, as faith is tested and refined. The touchstone of the fellowship is found in the truth, and that truth centers in the glorious person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. To hold to this truth against all odds, all deception, and all temptation is to win a place among the ranks of those who value the fellowship of the King. It is an old story.

This compilation of notes represents the truths found in the Epistles of Second and Third John.

Power of Praise #2

2Ch 20:1-30 Jehoshaphat means "God is my judge". Expressions of Praise: (1) Repentance (2Ch 20:3); (2) Pray 2Ch 20:5-12 ; (3) Proclaim ahead of deliverance (2Ch 20:14-16); (4) Rest (2Ch 20:17-19, 2Ch 20:30); (5) Obedience (2Ch 20:20); (6) Thanksgiving (2Ch 20:21); (7) Singing (2Ch 20:22); (8) Giving (2Ch 20:24-30). The song of praise (Psa 33:1-5): it's proper for believers to give praise. "A new song" (Psa 33:3) expresses new insight into God's word and works (Psa 33:1-4). God loves righteousness and Justice, so the earth is full of His goodness (Psa 33:5). Testimony of God's works (Exo 15:1-21); we know how to praise Him after the fact, but don't before we see it. The Exodus generation never praised God ahead of time which would have been an evidence of faith; they never went into the land as a result.
