John’s primary PURPOSE is that believers will enter and maintain fellowship with God, with the RESULT of inner joy.
His secondary PURPOSE is to give believers ASSURANCE of their salvation, with the RESULT that they will continue to live by faith.

“That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that our joy may be full … These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may [continue to] believe in the name of the Son of God.” 1Jo 1:3-4; 1Jo 5:13 (emphasis added)

This compilation of notes represents the truths found in the Epistle of First John.

Daniel #6

Daniel #6

Times of the Gentiles (Luk 21:24). Daniel chapter 4 outline: Greeting and the purpose (Dan 4:1-3); The tree vision (Dan 4:4-18); The dream interpreted Dan 4:19-27); Fulfillment (Dan 4:28-33); Salvation and restoration of Nebuchadnezzar (Dan 4:34-37). Daniel 4 is a worldwide proclamation. God is not willing that any should perish (2Pe 3:9). Jesus Christ relates Himself to the crushing stone of Daniel 2:35 in Mat 21:44. Justice of God regards all men alike (Rom 2:11). Love is expressed in the cross (Rom 5:8). God's Omniscience is never ignorant of any person. Omnipotence is able to provide for every member of the human race. Jesus is the same always (Heb 13:8). Unlimited atonement - Jesus died for all people (2Pe 2:1 1Jo 2:2, 2Co 5:1). Divine will is that all are saved (2Pe 3:9). Human volition involves God consciousness (Rom 1:20-22). Saving faith in Jesus Christ is next - this is non-meritorious (Rom 10:17, Rom 1:17, Jer 29:13, Joh 7:17, Act 17:27). Systems of perception: Empiricism (Rom 1:17-21, 1Co 2) gives us no excuse, but involves merit. Rationalism deals with reason (Act 17:1-34). Faith is non-meritorious. The merit is in the object of faith (2Co 5:21). Approaches to God consciousness: Religious approach; Moral approach urges right and wrong; Ontological - the human mind imagines a perfect; teleological - the universe must have a director and designer. Heathenism exists where the truth of God has been rejected (Isa 40:17-21, Rom 1:18-30, Rom 10:18, 2Th 1:8). Daniel was the head of the wise men (Dan 4:9, Dan 9:27) and set up a time table to the messiah. Ezekiel was a contemporary that regards Daniel highly (Eze 14:14, Eze 14:20, Eze 28:3). Angelic conflict and battles (Dan 4:10-18)
