The Transforming Power of Grace 2

The Transforming Power of Grace 2

Paul increasingly thought of himself as lower and lower. Gospel is a message of truth about Jesus Christ from God. God is known through the person of Jesus Christ. We possess the righteousness of Jesus Christ (Eph 1:6, 2Co 5:21). If you have trusted Christ you are His elect (Tit 1:1). The driving force in Paul's life was love for God (2Co 5:14-15). Does the love of Christ compel us? God the savior (Tit 1:3-4, Tit 2:10, Tit 2:13, Tit 3:4, Tit 3:6). Paul committed to Titus the Gospel (Tit 1:5). There are three gospel summaries in Titus: (1) Redemption is a plan of God the Father (Tit 1:1-4); (2) The Gospel is the work of the Son (Tit 2:11-14, Gal 6:14); (3) The Gospel is the power of Holy Spirit (Tit 3:4-7). It's easy to be deceived by false teachers. Ministry relates to authority and order. There's a demand of character. It requires a one-woman man with faithful children. Elders, overseer ("bishop"), and shepherd (Tit 1:5 Tit 1:7).
