Ephesians #21

Ephesians #21

The purpose of equipping the saints is so that they do the ministry (Eph 4:12). How can you discover your spiritual gift? Example of Paul is extreme abandon (Act 9:3). Paul says "What would you have me to do" (Act 9:6)? Paul prays Act 9:11. Guidance often comes through others (Act 9:15). The unrevealed Will of God is only shown you when you're obedient to things you've been shown (Act 9:17). Confirmation of your gift comes from both God and men -- believers are built up and unbelievers are believing (Act 9:20-22). When you embark on your true mission there will be difficulties, but God will raise people to assist you (Act 9:23-27). God will often close doors (Act 9:28-30). God use prepared people and preparation is part of the service (Act 11:22-30). Be faithful to serve where God has you then move when He moves you (Act 13:1-3). Paul's gift had to develop. Gifts are exercised within God's bounds -- where He opens the doors (1Co 4:7, 2Co 10:12-18, Psa 16:6).
