3 family figures illustrate the character of God and ministry--that God might manifest Himself to us. The whole essence of our purpose: follow Him in the area of ministry that He has designed for us as individuals; Mat 23:37; Deu 22:6; 1Co 15:1-19; Rom 5:1; Thess. believers not only heard the message; but they saw it--in Paul. He was a demonstration of the grace of God; The 8 elements of effective ministry: 1) be prepared for opposition; 2) keep the Gospel the message; 3)be bold and confident in your message--NO APOLOGIES; 4) don't look for man's approval--only God's. 5) be humble; selfless; 6) develop a family affection. There is passion in the Gospel; Rom 12:10; 7) be a living grace. 8) be certain that your witness will not be in vain.
