And I will be found by you declares the Lord …” Jeremiah 29:11–14a Jeremiah teaches us that God allowed His precious people to be taken over by the king of Babylon as judgement for turning away from Him to idol worship. God disciplines His people out of love. He knows the inner workings of our heart and soul—He knows that the best thing for us as fallen humans is whole-hearted devotion to Him. As our Creator God and Savior, He deserves our whole-hearted devotion. “C” is for Compassion—Jesus Christ has a heart of compassion. “H” is for Hero—Jesus Christ has the heart of a Hero. “R” is for Reconciliation—Jesus Christ has a heart of reconciliation. “I” is for Intercession—Jesus Christ has a heart of intercession. “T” is for Teacher—Jesus Christ had a teachable heart. “S” is for Servant—Jesus Christ had a servant’s heart.
