What we see occuring across the Middle East today is setting the stage for the end time events of Biblical prophecy.

God is at work to wean Israel from her age-old dependance on other nations, instead of relying on the God of Israel. In former times, Israel relied on Egypt (Isa.30:1-5), they had relied on Assyria (Isa 31:4-9), and today they have relied on America. Therefore, God is fulfilling His word to isolate them, so that they will ultimately come to rely on Him in faith (Isa 30:15-21).

Very soon, God will begin to graft Israel back onto the tree of faith (Rom 11:17-25). This will begin with the opening of the eyes of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists (Rev.7:1-8), who will begin the first of four waves of evangelism world-wide seen in the book of Revelation. For the unbelieving world this will usher in the seven year tribulation period, the bloodiest time in all history (Mat 24:21).

For those who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, these "signs of the times" (Mat 16:3) are warnings to "look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." (Luk 21:29). The next major event of prophetic history is the coming of Christ for His bride in the rapture of the Church, described in 1Th 4:13-18, and depicted by John in Rev 4:1.

I do hope you are a child of God by faith in Jesus Christ. If not, I urge you to consider His promise: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." (Joh 5:24).

By His grace alone,
Gene
